We make plans, God laughs
There is a Yiddish saying that when we make plans, God laughs.
It has certainly felt something to that effect.
We made plans to visit Maine late May, possibly to move there. And then a pandemic hit. Right now it's looking very unlikely we will be able to fly anywhere. Yes, it is a month out still, but I have my serious doubts.
It's been really rough. What do you do when plans like this are hanging in limbo? Do I get chickens and plan to be here at least another year? Do I plant blueberry bushes and apple trees? Do I plant long season fruit and vegetables? How much should I plan for, or, how little? I have lots of long term projects I could start, but it doesn't seem prudent to begin them. Meanwhile, I'm struggling.
